It's National Handwashing Awareness Week! Many diseases are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water, making washing your hands one of the easiest ways to prevent illness. Scrub for 20 seconds with soap and water, especially before eating, after using the bathroom, or after touching animals. If you can’t, use sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

For more information on handwashing, visit www.cdc.gov/handwashing

November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month.

More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, the most common form of dementia, and it kills more than breast cancer & prostate cancer combined.

Alzheimer’s affects memory, thinking, and behavior. While there is currently no cure, early detection and support can make a meaningful difference.

However, in many cases of type 2 diabetes, it can be prevented or delayed through healthy eating, activity, and regular check-ups.
