We were honored to have Georgia Hospital Association President & CEO Caylee Noggle visit Memorial Health’s emergency room and Level I trauma center. She spent time with our ER medical director Dr. Katie Dean, ER physicians and staff.

“Memorial Health is such a tremendous resource for the community and offers critically important level 1 trauma services,” said Caylee. “Every staff member I met was filled with enthusiasm, pride, and a genuine compassion for patients. Time and again, I witnessed clinical care team members stop to check in on patients to ensure they were comfortable and had the best care experience possible. It’s apparent that your team is proud to care for the Savannah community and so many other communities in the entire region that rely on the high quality, access to care provided by Dr. Dean, Dr. Reeves, and the entire team at Memorial Health. Thanks for letting me experience just a brief glimpse of what you do every day for patients!”

Our ER team enjoyed the visit as well. Dr. Dean said, “It was an honor to have Georgia Hospital Association President & CEO Caylee Noggle spend an evening with us in the Memorial Health emergency department! We were proud to show her how we care for our community in times of need. She saw firsthand the impact of our team, including our Level 1 trauma program and advanced stroke interventions. She shared with us how the GHA is working to create a healthier Georgia. Thank you, Caylee!”

On behalf of our entire team, thanks for visiting Memorial Health, Caylee! We appreciate all you and the Georgia Hospital Association do promote health and welfare for all Georgians.

DYK... injuries and violence are the leading causes of death and hospitalization for Americans ages 1 – 44? Today is National Injury Prevention Day – a day dedicated to injury prevention. Many of our colleagues wore green today as it symbolizes prosperity, growth and most importantly - hope - as we hope to bring an end to preventable injuries.

As the only Level I Trauma Center in southeast Georgia verified by the American College of Surgeons, we have demonstrated our commitment to growing our resources and expertise so we can effectively treat injuries, minimize long-term damage and, hopefully, save lives.

Every tiny heartbeat tells a mighty story. 💜
Each year, more than 200,000 babies are born in hospitals across our larger HCA Healthcare network – and some arrive earlier than expected. According to March of Dimes about 1 in 10 babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. This means they enter the world before 37 weeks of pregnancy.

This , we’re celebrating our tiniest patients and the incredible caregivers at Memorial Health who support them and their families. As a proud partner of March of Dimes, HCA Healthcare is committed to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through clinical data, pioneering research and compassionate care.

LUNG CANCER AWARENESS MONTH - Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in America, according to the American Lung Association in Georgia. And for many people, there are no symptoms until later stages of the disease.

That’s why lung cancer screening is so important. Screening can detect cancer early, when it’s most treatable. It’s performed through a low-dose computerized tomography (CT) scan – an X-ray of your lungs that could lead to life-saving care.

Not sure if you should get screened? Click on https://bit.ly/4r37VNL and review the criteria for a lung cancer screening.
