We support all families and their choices. We work to support those that desire to breastfeed/chest feed, bottle feed, formula feed, and do combo feeding. Greetings of Peace & Prosperity 🦋🩵☮️ To meet Fatima or Schedule your free Doula Training Consultation, visit our site at www.AkwaabaWellness.com Registration is now open for our Holistic Doula Training this September. Our training schedule is : Birth Doula Training: September 13th, 14th, & 15th. Postpartum Doula Training: September 21st and 22nd. Classes are held virtually Fridays 6-9pm EST, Saturdays & Sundays 8am-4pm EST.

Our Story

Akwaaba means Welcome and we are welcoming parents to parenthood. Providing education and support to a new parent can make the transition to parenthood a lot easier. We help mothers by doing just that during their prenatal and postpartum periods. We have a childbirth educator, birth and postpartum doula and IBCLC, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant on staff who can assist a mother with her childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn questions and concerns. We support breastfeeding families and strive to make breastfeeding a cultural norm. Breastfeeding is the optimum way to provide nutrition and bonding to your baby. Akwaaba Mama & Wellness Services is dedicated to supporting and helping mothers as they go through their breastfeeding journey. By providing prenatal education, home visits, hospital visits, and community support groups, we begin to normalize breastfeeding. These services can change maternal and infant health outcomes in our communities.
