At Compassionate inHOME Caregiving of Oregon, we are seeing a rise in fraud targeting seniors — and it’s happening more often than you think.

⚠️ Common red flags:
• Being asked to buy gift cards for someone over the phone
• Requests to send money orders or wire money urgently
• Calls claiming to be from the IRS, Medicare, or a “grandchild in trouble”
• Pressure to act immediately without verifying

💡 Important Reminder:
No legitimate company or agency will ever ask for payment in gift cards, money orders, or unusual payment methods.

💜 How we help protect our clients:
Our caregivers are trained to recognize these warning signs and act as an extra layer of protection. If something feels off — we step in and notify the family and our office immediately.
