Our very own Dr. Lena Walker was named "Provider of the Year" by the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation at their Halloween Gala last weekend!

Doug Thompson, OLSHF CEO said, "Dr. Walker, your enthusiasm, advocacy, dedication to serving, fundraising efforts and collaboration with the LEAP and KEX programs, make you our 2022 provider of the year."

The doctors and staff of Family Vision have partnered with the St. Helens Lions and the KEX Kids Fund for more than 20 years to provide eye examinations and glasses to under-served adults and children of Columbia County.

Join our eye care team as optometric technician!If you have medical assisting experience this would be a great fit for you! Even if you have no prior experience but you’d love to learn about vision, eye health, eye emergencies and general health conditions, we also offer on-the-job training. You’ll be working directly with patients and assisting our eye doctors in providing compassionate eye care to our wondeful community of patients.

Skills you’ll acquire:
• Screening tests with the latest technology like retinal photography, corneal mapping, and eye pressure.
• Charting in electronic medical records.
• Ordering and inventory of contact lenses.
• Eyeglasses prescription evaluation and verification.
• Specialty testing for eye conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration.

We are offering a full time position: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with no weekends. Great medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits and quarterly bonuses.

We are a privately-owned optometry practice in Scappoose and St. Helens, Oregon that has served Columbia County for over 50 years.
