Happy Monday Salt Pump!

What's this a photo of?

It's the itty-bitty holds that you love seeing on your routes and problems.

We call them "no-shadows", because if you hold a light next to them they don't...exactly...cast a shadow.

What they are great at is bringing your attention to a volume or as a smear to give you a little more push.

They can feel like a jug on a volume too 🦾

SETTING

Look forward to a reset on the Mezzanine boulder!

If you've got a project up there, get it wrapped up!

YOGA

Nina is going to be with us for another couple of Tuesdays, so come enjoy her Tuesday class before she whisks off to the sandstone mecca of the NRG for the winter.

See you soon!

✨ Meet our Yoga Team ✨

Our series to introduce our incredible yoga team rolls on this week with the wonderful Emma Morgan! You can catch Emma guiding you through your practice every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.

Here's a peek at what Emma has to say about her class:

"Join me on Wednesdays at 6:15p for a yoga flow focused on exploring breath, mobility, and strength. This all levels class will energize you, while also providing space to slow down and tune into your body. (Or just come to improve your climbing and increase your chance of sending that pesky V5!)"

Ready to flow and build strength? Don't miss Emma's class this Wednesday!

✨ Meet our Yoga Team ✨

We're kicking off a brand new series to introduce you to the wonderful faces guiding your practice! Get ready to learn more about the instructors, the classes they teach, and why they love what they do.

First up: the fantastic Sam Silverman!

Sam is here to bring you deep rest with her Restorative Yoga session every Thursday at 7 p.m. Here what she has to say about her class:

"I am so excited to offer restorative yoga on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. Restorative yoga is the practice of deep rest in both body and mind. Expect to hold long postures to facilitate relaxation and meditation. There are so many benefits of restorative yoga for climbers, including releasing muscle tension and managing stress in a high-adrenaline sport."

Need a reset? Unroll your mat with Sam this Thursday!

Everytime the lead wall comes down there is a palpable energy around it.

The work that goes into taking it all down and cleaning the holds….

Climbers questions to setters about what they’re inspired to design this reset…

The marveling eyes watching the colored groupings of holds grow from the floor to the ceiling as the lift slowly beeps upward…

Anyone who passes by, no matter their preferred style of climbing, takes part in the reset through their comments and observation…and it’s so cool to see.

This wall may be a clean slate, but the real wall is done and ready for sending. Come and find your next favorite clip up. Gamba.
