Several people has asked about my progress in opening Maine Zen Den Acupuncture & Wellness, being able to take insurance and provide acupuncture. Here is where I am at:
- I am having difficulty "verifying" my Google Business Listing. Please be aware that if you Google me or my business, I am NOT at 383 U.S. Route One in Scarborough. I am located at 2 Storer Street, Suite 401, Kennebunk. I am on the fourth floor of the Lafayette Center and located within The Well Holistic Solutions.
- As a result of my ongoing challenges with Google, I have set up a Yelp page, which can be found here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/maine-zen-den-acupuncture-and-wellness-kennebunk?uid=5p3O5w7dufoxpDiZT_C6VQ&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct)
- I have submitted updated information regarding being able to take insurance. Here is my progress to date:
* Cigna: All paperwork is set and I am able to bill Cigna once I open for business.
* VA: Information has been submitted and I was informed that I would be called once there is a change of status. No timeline was given. It looks like "Hurry up and wait" isn't just meant for the military. : /
* Aetna and Anthem: All information has been submitted and everything should be updated in about a week.
* Community Health Options: All paperwork has been submitted.
* Optum and United Health Care: Even though I have been credentialed for the past six years, because I am working in another business (my own), I have to go through the entire process for credentialing. I have been told this will take three months to complete.
* Tivity: All paperwork has been submitted.
* Harvard Pilgrim: All paperwork has been submitted.
Once I finish building my electronic medical record and order the last few items, I will be open. I anticipate opening in the next one to two weeks. EVERYTHING has taken longer than originally anticipated and I apologize for any delay. I look forward to seeing all of you at my new location in Kennebunk!
