The theme of yesterday’s virtual class led by psychologist and meditation instructor was BEGINNING AGAIN.

Life rarely goes as planned. We can lose our patience, our focus, our way. We feel stuck. We fall back into old patterns and think we’ve failed.  But as Sharon Salzberg reminds us — We can always begin again! 💫

Each moment offers a chance to return — to our breath, to our intention, to the person we want to be.  Each breath is an opportunity to start fresh.

This is the miracle of mindfulness: no matter how many times we drift, we can always come home to our true self. This moment, this breath, is the time to begin again!

I came to meditation almost twenty years ago because I was feeling stuck. I was a busy mom with three young kids and although my life seemed full and wonderful from the outside, inside I was feeling lost, stressed, and like something was missing.  It wasn’t until I learned how to slow down and be more present in my life, that I realized nothing “out there” could make me feel whole. As the saying goes, “Happiness is an inside job.” The exciting part was that this was all within my control, not dependent on someone or something else.

This practice helped me see that we can CHOOSE how we want to meet our lives - the pleasant AND unpleasant - - - all of it!  In fact, that is why we are here - to ride the waves of life. Once we learn how to slow down, be more present, and see things with greater clarity, we can show up for ourselves, each other, and our world with greater compassion, wisdom, and equanimity.

Mindfulness is a profound change in how we live our lives. Sitting quietly with yourself is truly a radical act. And, the best part is EVERYONE can learn how to live more mindfully!  That is why I dedicated myself to teaching others these amazing life skills and I have had the great pleasure of teaching mindfulness and meditation to thousands of people for more than a decade.

Six years ago, and founded to share easy and accessible ways to practice mindfulness and meditation by creating both an in-person and virtual space where people can pause, reconnect inward, and experience the life-changing benefits of mindfulness.

All the programs at Pause to be Present are designed to meet you where you are — whether you are new to mediation or an experienced mediator (or anyone in between!). Our daily meditations, on-demand library, workshops, series, retreats, corporate wellness and so much more. Our Story - Pause

Mindfulness has made such an impact in our lives – so much so that we wanted to share this transformative practice with as many people as possible! It has helped us in our relationships, parenting, business and most importantly, with ourselves and how we choose to live our lives. We have seen an incredible group of like-minded people connect through this practice and are thrilled to create a dedicated space for this growing community to gather and pause together.

At Pause, we have created a space where you can take time out of your busy life to simply “be”… a place where you can find a more peaceful, joy-filled, healthier way of living through the powerful practice of Mindfulness.

Mindfulness works. It can change your life. Our goal is to share with you ways to be truly present and awake for your life. With over a decade of experience teaching, we have found easy and accessible ways to bring these ancient practices into our modern lives to help people not only cope but thrive!
