🚨 The future of cardiac imaging is here — and it’s changing how we detect heart disease!

At Chicago Cardiology, we are proud to offer state-of-the-art technology to our patients because when it comes to your heart - clarity matters. That’s why Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is quickly becoming the preferred imaging technology for evaluating coronary artery disease.

Major clinical guidelines now recognize PET myocardial perfusion imaging with myocardial blood flow (MBF) quantification as a preferred test because of its superior diagnostic accuracy, risk assessment capabilities, and image quality.

💡 Why PET stands apart:
❤️ Detects heart disease earlier and with greater precision
📊 Provides powerful risk stratification to guide treatment decisions
🩺 Evaluates both large coronary arteries and microvascular disease
☢️ Offers lower radiation exposure compared to many traditional imaging approaches

PET is also considered the gold-standard, noninvasive method for measuring myocardial blood flow, giving cardiologists deeper insight to personalize care and improve outcomes.

👉 Don’t wait for symptoms to worsen. Advanced detection saves lives.
If you have chest pain, shortness of breath, or risk factors for heart disease, talk to your provider about whether PET imaging is right for you.

📞 Schedule your cardiac imaging today and take a proactive step toward protecting your heart.

February 8th-14th is Cardiac Rehab Week!

Healing your heart shouldn’t mean putting your life on hold. ❤️

Chicago Cardiology Institute is proud to offer home-based cardiac rehabilitation through ROMTherapy, helping patients recover safely, confidently, and comfortably — right from home.

Why cardiac rehab? Research shows that patients who complete 36 sessions have a 47% lower risk of death and a 31% lower risk of heart attack compared to those who attend just one session. Consistent care truly saves lives.

With ROMTherapy, your recovery is supported every step of the way:

💓 Expert monitoring at home – Bluetooth technology tracks your heart rate, ECG, blood pressure, and oxygen levels while a highly trained Cardiac Rehab Specialist supervises your progress in real time.
🏡 Personalized therapy – Adjustable pedaling modes allow you to recover at the pace that’s right for you.
👩‍⚕️ Face-to-face virtual support – Meet with your specialist on screen for guidance, evaluation, and remote adjustments.
🚚 White-glove setup – Equipment is delivered to your home, set up for you, and picked up when you’re done — no hassle.
🥗 Whole-heart support – Enjoy 36 therapy sessions plus a nutritional session to help strengthen your heart health.

Best of all, it’s covered by most insurance plans, and many patients are more likely to complete rehab when it’s this convenient.

If you’ve experienced a cardiac event or procedure, talk to your provider at Chicago Cardiology Institute to see if home-based cardiac rehab is right for you.

Your heart has carried you this far — let’s help it grow stronger so you can get back to what matters most, faster.

❤️ Today, our team wore red in support of women's heart health — but behind every red sweater, pin, and heartbeat was something much deeper: a shared commitment to the women we care for every single day.

At Chicago Cardiology, we have the privilege of hearing our patients’ stories — mothers, daughters, sisters, friends — strong women who put everyone else first and often forget to prioritize their own health. Go Red for Women® is more than a campaign to us. It is a reminder of why we show up each day: to listen, to guide, to detect concerns early, and to protect the hearts that hold so many families together.

Heart disease is still the leading cause of death in women, but it is often preventable with proactive care. That is why our team is so passionate about what we do. Caring for your heart isn’t just our specialty — it is our purpose.

❤️ If you’ve been putting your health off, let this be your sign.
Do it for your family. Do it for your future. Do it for you.

📞 Schedule your heart screening today and take the first step toward a longer, healthier life. Your heart deserves expert care — and we are here when you need us.

Today we proudly celebrate National Women Physicians Day by honoring the incredible women physicians who care for our patients every single day.

💓 Dr. Aasita Patel
💓 Dr. Katherine Heretis
💓 Dr. Saba Khan

These physicians play a vital role in advancing heart health—especially for women, who often experience heart disease differently and are frequently underdiagnosed. Their expertise, compassion, and advocacy help ensure women receive the specialized, attentive care they deserve.

As we head into Go Red for Women® Day this Friday, we’re reminded just how powerful awareness can be. ❤️

👗 Wear red this Friday to show your support for women’s heart health and to honor the physicians working every day to protect it.

Thank you, doctors, for leading with heart—today and always. 💫

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women—but education, prevention, and early care can save lives. Join us in going red and putting women’s heart health first. ❤️
