Meetings like the AOFAS Winter Meeting are about education first β€” but the setting matters.

provides a great balance of strong meeting facilities and an environment that encourages informal discussion and collaboration outside the lecture hall.

An excellent location for groups looking to combine productive meetings with a memorable experience.

β€œI followed the recipe β€” why does the foot still look flat?”

This AOFAS Winter Meeting session explored the nuanced decision-making behind flatfoot reconstruction, focusing on when standard approaches fall short and how to better tailor surgical strategies to the underlying pathology.

The key takeaway: flatfoot is not a one-joint problem, and durable correction requires a global approach.

Surgery is only the beginning.

Honored to moderate today’s AOFAS Winter Meeting session focused on what comes after the operation β€” rehab strategies, technology, and clinical decision-making that directly influence patient outcomes.

Topics included accelerated versus cautious Achilles rehab, wearable performance sensors, AI-assisted recovery, and the always-challenging question of when to allow weight bearing.

These post-op decisions often shape success just as much as the surgery itself.
