January is Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Month ๐Ÿ’š

This month is about support, hope, and access to care. Whether youโ€™re thinking about treatment, already on your recovery journey, or supporting someone you loveโ€”youโ€™re not alone.

At New Choices Recovery Center, weโ€™re lifting up what works:

Reducing stigma around treatment (including medications)

Encouraging people at every stage of recovery

Promoting best practices like screening, brief intervention, and connection to care

Supporting families, friends, and providers who walk alongside this work

Take a moment to learn more, share this post, and start a conversation. Awareness saves livesโ€”and connection matters.

Recovery is about so much more than stopping a behavior โ€” itโ€™s about building a life that feels meaningful, connected, and whole. Creative expression plays a powerful role in that journey.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re excited to support Caffe Lenaโ€™s Sober Salon, a quarterly, alcohol-free creative space designed specifically for people in recovery. Music, poetry, art, crafts, comedy, storytelling โ€” all forms of expression are welcome, and attendance is free.

This is what prevention looks like:
โœ”๏ธ Safe spaces
โœ”๏ธ Belonging
โœ”๏ธ Connection
โœ”๏ธ Purpose

๐Ÿ—“ 2026 Sober Salon Dates:
โ€ข February 22 (Kick-off)
โ€ข June 30
โ€ข September 29
โ€ข December 29

๐Ÿ“ Saratoga Springs
๐ŸŽŸ Free & substance-free

Take a moment to share this with someone who might need a safe, sober space to be creative โ€” or come check it out yourself. Recovery thrives when people are seen, heard, and supported.
