Let’s Talk Fat Grafting
Removing unwanted fat in one area and restoring volume where you need it most might sound too good to be true, but fat transfer (also known as fat grafting) does exactly that.
Fat grafting is a surgical procedure that uses liposuction to gently remove fat from areas where you have excess, then carefully re-injects it into areas that need more volume. Because this fat comes from your own body (autologous), the results look and feel natural and are long-lasting compared to temporary fillers.
💉 Where is fat grafting beneficial?
• Under-eye hollows (tear troughs)
• Cheeks and midface volume loss
• Facial asymmetry
• Areas affected by aging or prior procedures
Unlike synthetic fillers, fat grafting integrates with your tissue and avoids concerns like migration or unnatural appearance, making it a preferred option in many cases.
📸 Today we’re sharing two very different patient journeys to show the span of treatment:
• A 35-year-old patient concerned with under-eye hollowness. Fat grafting was used to restore volume to the tear trough and cheeks, creating a refreshed, natural look. For early signs of aging and facial volume loss, subtle improvements like this can make a big impact.
• A 78-year-old patient experiencing facial asymmetry after a previous facelift performed elsewhere. She preferred a less invasive approach, and fat grafting allowed us to achieve a balanced, natural enhancement without extensive revision surgery.
Photos shown are 2 months post-op.
If you’ve ever wished you could “move” volume from one area to another, this might be your solution.
