When students are struggling emotionally, socially, or academically, school counselors are often the first trusted adult they turn to.
Across SCUCISD, counselors show up every day managing crises, supporting mental health, guiding academic decisions, and advocating for students and families. The work is demanding, and it matters deeply.
Congratulations to the counseling teams at Byron P. Steele High School and J. Frank Dobie Jr. High on earning the Texas School Counselor Association CREST Award, one of the highest honors for school counseling programs in our state.
And to every counselor across our district, thank you. Our community is stronger because of you.
