It's pretty clear, no matter how you look at it, 2025 comes to a close in just 45 days. This means, if you have an FSA or HSA with a "use it or lose it plan," you have approximately 6 weeks to use your plan.

Now is the time to schedule an eye appointment if you haven't had one for a while, purchase eyewear you may want to use next year or order contact lenses. Let Scott City Eye Center help you utilize these valuable dollars before we reach 2026.

How to use your FSA & HSA before year-end:
- Schedule appointments: Book eye exams BEFORE December 31st.
- Buy vision care: Purchase new eyeglasses, contact lenses or solutions you need.
- Pay for prescriptions: Use your funds to refill any prescriptions.

Why it's important to use your FSA & HSA funds:
- Prevent forfeiture: Most FSA/HSA plans follow a "use-it-or-lose-it" rule, where you lose any remaining money at the end of the plan year.
- Maximize tax savings: You contributed money to your FSA/HSA pre-tax, so using it before the deadline ensures you benefit from those tax savings by reducing your taxable income.

Next week, we will be open regular hours Tuesday through Friday.

Whether a late summer trip is planned or you're getting ready to head back to school , someone will be decked out with this stylish Draper James Bookbag from Scott City Eye Center - and it could be YOU! We'll be giving this bag away at the end of August, and entry for the drawing is easy! Either -
1.) Set and complete an eye exam in July or August, or
2.) Purchase a new set of glasses, or
3.) Purchase a 6 or 12 month order of contact lenses.
