Meet the Judges

➡️SATURDAY CATTLE & GOATS/SUNDAY HOGS & SHEEP- Andrew Anderson, OK

Originally from Caney, KS. Andrew was a member of the competitive livestock judging teams at Northern Oklahoma College and Kansas State University. Additionally, he received his degree in Animal Science from KSU. Andrew served as an assistant judging team coach at K-State for two years. He now serves as the livestock judging coach and Animal Science instructor at Eastern Oklahoma State College. He, his wife Kennedy, and son Reeves live in Wilburton, OK

➡️SATURDAY HOGS & SHEEP/ SUNDAY CATTLE & GOATS- Jed Sidwell, IL

Jed Sidwell grew up in Northern Colorado where he and his family raise and show nationally competitive sheep and cattle. Judging led Jed to Butler Community College where he was a member of the Champion Team at the Cattlemen’s Congress. From there he went to Stillwater, OK where he just finished up his time as a member of the Livestock Judging team at Oklahoma State. He was a member of the Champion team at the Cattleman’s Congress, National Western, and National Barrow show. He graduated from OSU with a degree in finance and now lives in Northern Illinois and is a commodity broker and media creator for AgBull Trading​,

Eligibility:

· Current year high school graduate

· Must be exhibiting in the 2026 SC Showdown- April 25-26, 2026

· Must enroll in and attend college or university or accredited trade school for the fall 2026 semester. ( or in the case of a trade program enrollment/ attendance may begin in the summer of 2026)

· Complete and submit online application – deadline APRIL 10. 11:59 pm CST

Meet our Scholarship Winners
In celebration of the 10th year of the SC Showdown we are proud to announce the two winners of our NEW scholarship program. 2025 high school graduates participating in the 2025 SC Showdown were invited to apply for awards in our inaugural Scholarship Program.

Applicants were evaluated on a combination of involvement in livestock, 4-H, FFA, school, leadership, academics and future plans. Two winners were selected from seven excellent applications.
The Showdown looks forward to continuing the scholarship program in 2026.

Congratulations Hayden Stubbs, Wallace, KS and Brody Strine, Scott City, KS.
