💙 March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Let’s clear up some common myths:

🔎 MYTH: I don’t have symptoms, so I don’t need screening.
✅ FACT: Colorectal cancer often has NO symptoms in early stages. Screening is meant to catch it before symptoms appear.

🔎 MYTH: I’m too young to worry about colon cancer.
✅ FACT: Screening now starts at age 45 for average-risk adults.

🔎 MYTH: A colonoscopy is the only screening option.
✅ FACT: There are multiple screening options available. Talk to your provider about what’s best for you.

🔎 MYTH: If no one in my family has had it, I’m not at risk.
✅ FACT: Most people diagnosed have NO family history.

RECORD BREAKING 29 BILLION is projected to be spent on on jewelry, flowers, dining/entertainment, candy. While we all love to receive all those things let’s not forget to also show other ways of love: being kind, sharing a smile, put your phone down and give them your full attention, say “ I’m proud of you”, tell them you LOVE them! Make a phone call to a grandparent who is shut in!
