Last week, we had the honor of celebrating Dawn Pettengill and her dedicated service as Chairman of the Hospital Board for the past two and a half years. During her tenure, Dawn has played a vital role in many of the positive advancements you have seen at Highlands Medical Center. Her passion for strengthening local healthcare has made a meaningful impact on our hospital and the community we serve.

Although Dawn is rolling off as Chairman, we are grateful that she will continue to serve on the Board, advocating for high-quality, local care. We are deeply thankful for her leadership and the tremendous work she has done and will continue to do for Highlands Medical Center and our community.

In just eight months at Highlands Medical Center, he recognized something wasn’t right, took action, and helped prevent a potential risk. This is a great reminder that every team member plays a vital role in keeping our patients safe. We’re proud to have you on the team, Ethan!

Our Highlands Medical Center family is standing together for one of our own — a brave young boy named Tucker. Many of you may know Tucker as the son of one of our incredible ER nurses, and he has been part of our Highlands family since the day he was born.

Tucker has faced health challenges from the start, having been born with a heart condition that he’s fought with incredible strength and spirit. Recently, his family received the heartbreaking news that he has also been diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma.

Tucker’s courage, smile, and determination continue to inspire all of us here at Highlands. We ask our community to join us in surrounding Tucker, his mom, and their entire family with love, hope, and prayers as they face this next fight together. 💚💪

We’re so thankful to be part of such a generous and caring community. Members of Grace Methodist Church came together to collect and donate 114 items for our nursery floor, helping support families with babies born right here in our local area.

These donations including baby essentials items will provide comfort to newborns and ease the transition home for new parents.

A special thank-you to Caroline Hodges for delivering the donations on behalf of the church. Acts of kindness like this remind us how strong and compassionate our community truly is.

We had a great turnout at our Highlands Pediatrics Kids FunFest and want to thank everyone who stopped by to spend the day with us! It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the activities and connecting with our team.
