This month is dedicated to raising awareness about Cerebral Palsy, a group of conditions that affect movement, muscle tone, and posture. Cerebral palsy is caused by differences in brain development or damage to the developing brain, often occurring before or during birth. While it affects how a person moves and controls muscles, every individual with cerebral palsy has their own unique abilities, strengths, and journey.
Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month is a time to educate our communities, promote understanding, and celebrate the resilience of those living with cerebral palsy. It reminds us that awareness leads to acceptance, and acceptance helps build a more inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
