Nothing spreads holiday cheer quite like a therapy dog visit. Toby Jack brought smiles to our patients as they shared cuddles, comfort, and plenty of tail wags. What you can’t see in the photos is just how fast his tail was wagging — such a sweet boy making spirits brighter at Via Linda Behavioral Hospital.

Giving back feels even better together. Rose and Christina had a wonderful time delivering our food drive donations to St. Mary’s Food Bank. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!

The holidays and seasonal changes can be challenging, and for adolescents, those feelings can feel even bigger.
Via Linda Behavioral is here for our community—offering compassionate, specialized care for teens who need extra support right now. We have availability for female adolescent inpatient services and outpatient care for both female and male adolescents.
At Via Linda Behavioral, trust and transparency are more than values, they guide everything we do.
In this video, voices from Nursing, Risk Management, HR, The Business Office, and our Patriot Support program share what trustworthiness and transparency mean in their daily work and how it shapes the care we provide.
Together, we are committed to integrity, collaboration, and putting people first, every step of the way!

Rose, Via Linda’s Patient Advocate, recently had the opportunity to train Moises, a patient advocate from our sister facility Sierra Vista in California. Having a patient advocate is essential—they protect patient rights, elevate patient voices, and enhance the overall care experience. Rose’s strong communication, compassion, and proven effectiveness continue to make her a model for system-wide excellence.

In honor of National Native American Heritage Month, our Activity Therapists and Program Specialist collaborated to bring meaningful, culturally grounded programming to our patients.
A special shout-out to Jayne and Monica for creating groups that honor Native traditions through self-esteem empowerment, storytelling, the Medicine Wheel, basket weaving, and the Man in the Maze.
We are deeply grateful for our Activity Therapy team and for the patients we have the privilege of serving every day.
We also acknowledge that Thanksgiving can be triggering for some. For this reason, throughout November we chose to focus on unity, empowerment, and culture as medicine.
