Fix landings with this drill
Need one shortened pool noodle
Hav athlete high knee run with noodle overhead through take off. Once in the air bring legs around to landing position and kick noodle out of hands
What to watch for:
1. Athlete needs to fully complete take off before bringing legs through for a landing. Aka jump before landing. If athlete is leaning back in landings after the kick out there is a strong chance they didn’t finish the take off first.
2. Athlete must kick noodle out of hands not throw it out while swinging legs down. Purpose of the drill is to get athletes to finish landings all the way through
Once the drill is mastered remove the pool noodle and have athletes replicate without it.
