The MRI is not the final answer.

It shows structure.
It doesn’t show movement patterns.
It doesn’t show nervous system tone.
It doesn’t show systemic inflammation.

Two identical scans.
Two completely different outcomes.

Diagnosis comes from imaging.
Prognosis comes from deeper evaluation.

That difference matters.

Regenerative medicine gets blamed when outcomes disappoint.

But often the issue isn’t the biologic.

It’s:

Underprepared patients
Overpromised expectations
Clinics chasing volume
No real outcome tracking

The right question isn’t “does this clinic offer PRP?”

It’s:

Do they know when NOT to inject?

That’s what separates marketing from medicine.

Confidence is not certainty.

In medicine, especially regenerative medicine, we work in probabilities, not guarantees.

I can offer preparation.
I can offer precision.
I can offer commitment.

Certainty isn’t mine to give.

There’s a difference, and patients deserve to know it.

Not every patient is a candidate for regenerative procedures.

Some need optimization first.
Some need a different approach entirely.

Saying “not yet” is not about revenue.
It’s about responsibility.

Regenerative medicine isn’t failing.

But selection often is.

Too many clinics:
• Overpromise results
• Inject underprepared patients
• Prioritize volume over outcomes

Then when results disappoint, the treatment gets blamed.

That’s not bad science.
That’s bad selection.

If you’re considering regenerative treatment, ask:
What would make me NOT a candidate?

Responsible medicine includes knowing when to say no.

Steroids often produce relief within days.

Regenerative medicine is different.

Biologic healing progresses through phases:

• Early inflammation
• Tissue formation
• Remodeling and strengthening

Evaluating outcomes too early can create the illusion of failure.

Setting expectations properly is part of good medicine.

Pain is not always proportional to imaging findings.

In some patients, the nervous system becomes sensitized after prolonged pain. Signals are amplified. The alarm system stays active.

This is central sensitization.

In these cases, healing requires more than correcting structure. It requires addressing the nervous system.

Persistent pain with “normal” imaging does not mean the problem is imaginary.

It may mean the framework needs to change.

In the traditional insurance model, reimbursement favors repeatable interventions and predictable billing.

It rarely rewards time-intensive, root-cause work.

I made the decision to practice outside that system because comprehensive, preparation-focused regenerative care cannot be delivered in a throughput model.

This isn’t anti-medicine.

It’s alignment between incentives and outcomes.

Same injection. Same diagnosis. Different result.

Why?

Because regenerative medicine works within your biology. It does not override it.

Sleep, metabolic health, stress patterns, and post-procedure compliance all influence outcome.

The procedure matters. The system determines the result.

Medicine isn’t just about diagnoses or procedures — it’s about listening, precision, and trust.

This patient’s note says it better than I ever could.

Many clinics define success by pain scores.

Pain drops from 8 to 4. Case closed.

But real recovery is about function.

Can you move better?
Carry weight?
Return to work, exercise, or family activities?

Pain reduction without functional restoration is incomplete care.

In regenerative medicine, outcomes should be measured by what you can do, not just what you feel.

Ask your physician what they track beyond pain scales.

The answer tells you how they define success.

If you’re navigating chronic pain, ask yourself:

Are you measuring improvement by numbers, or by what you can actually do?

Who We Are

Precision Regenerative Medicine is a specialty clinic offering regenerative medicine and regenerative aesthetic procedures. We are passionate about optimizing patient outcomes to improve their function and quality of life.

Dr. Penhollow conducts a thorough history and review of imaging and medical records, performs a detailed exam and creates a personalized treatment plan. The patient’s own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) are injected into the areas of injury with a goal of stimulating and enhancing the body’s healing. Targets include joints, muscles, tendons and the spine for acute injuries and chronic conditions such as arthritis. Additional therapies include micro-needling with PRP for collagen induction to treat wrinkles, scars, and hair thinning.

Our mission is precision diagnosis through a consultation with a Physician pain specialist with advanced musculoskeletal knowledge and advanced injection skills. We offer precision - in diagnosis, in ortho-biologic selection, and in ultrasound or fluoroscopy-guided placement of the regenerative therapy at the correct target at the right time in our patient's lives.
