Are you struggling with dry winter skin?

Follow these tips for healthy, moisturized skin all winter long, even here in the Arizona desert!

1. Use a gentle cleanser. Cream cleansers are best.
2. Moisturize immediately after you finish cleansing to lock in hydration.
3. Use a heavier, cream-based moisturizer. Your skin needs it!
4. Use caution with exfoliation. Avoid scrubs. Talk to your aesthetician about chemical-based exfoliation.
5. Be consistent. You won't heal your dry skin overnight.
6. Drink more water and hydrate! We live in the desert, and the winter months are worse. The more hydrated you are on the inside, the healthier your skin will be.

You've been caught!..and now Santa knows, and he put you on his naughty list.

1. You didn't wear sunscreen.
2. You went tanning, which is a BIG no-no.
3. You slept with your makeup on, too.
4. And of course, you picked your skin.

Is it an eye lift, or is it a tight pony tail?

If you've ever pulled your hair up into a tight pony tail or bun, you've seen the lifting effect for your eyes and brows.

This trend among celebrities is being called the Bleph Bun, because it creates a blepharoplasty effect.

- Crow's feet smoothed
- Outer eye corners lifted
- Hooded eyes opened up

The result is a more youthful appearance, but at what cost?

Tight up-dos, or slick backs, are nothing new in the black community. More recently, the trend has been among Caucasian women.

✅ African hair can take more traction without breakage or falling out.
❎ Caucasian hair is not as resilient to tension, and frequent tight hairstyles can lead to hair loss.

The bleph bun is not a sustainable way to look younger.
