This patient had a history of breast cancer and began experiencing increasing tenderness and symptoms she felt could be related to her breast implants. After discussing her goals, she chose implant removal with a flat closure so a prosthetic bra could contour naturally to her chest.

During surgery, the implants were removed and a full capsulectomy was performed. Because the implants were placed under the muscle, the pectoralis muscle was carefully returned to its natural position. An inverted “T” (anchor) incisionwas then used to remove excess skin and tissue, creating a smooth, flat contour.
Every surgical plan is personalized to the patient’s goals, comfort, and long-term well-being. 🤍

Sometimes it’s not just about going bigger — it’s about creating the right shape, projection, and balance. ✨

This patient originally had 373cc implants, but felt they were too small for her frame. During her revision surgery, we upgraded to 585cc implants to enhance projection and overall volume for a fuller, more proportional result.

To further refine the outcome, we also performed an inferior capsulorrhaphy — a technique where sutures are placed to raise the breast fold and reposition the implant slightly higher and more centered on the chest wall. This helps improve implant support, symmetry, and long-term positioning.

Every revision is customized to the patient’s anatomy and aesthetic goals — because the details make all the difference.

⚠️ Post-Op Complications in Breast Reconstruction ⚠️
 This patient in her 30s underwent a bilateral ni**le-sparing mastectomy with direct-to-implant breast reconstruction.
Unfortunately, due to poor blood flow to the skin after mastectomy, portions of the ni**le and ar**la experienced necrosis. Loss of pigment can occur following complications like this and is part of the healing process.
With time, close monitoring, and treatment, the majority of the tissue was successfully salvaged. She is now very happy with her healed results 🙌
