"My journey with Dr. Martin started with Dr. Firestone. I show cutting horses competitively around the country. It is very physically demanding from beginning to end. Hauling for a World Finals starts at the beginning of the calendar year and ends in December. My commitment in 2019 was to make the finals on two horses. The pain in the hip was minor compared to my goal. I told Dr. Firestone I would duct tape the hips together and see him in December. I finished 3rd in the World on both horses. That is a lot of saddle time.

2020: Hip replacement. Never felt better, except for the pain in the knees. I have been highly knock-kneed my whole life, and on top of that, I lead a very physically demanding life.

Dr. Martin to the rescue. He wanted to do a single knee replacement and follow up later with the other one. With a bit of badgering, he agreed to do both simultaneously. After a successful surgery and proper rehab, thanks to Sarah, I am on the journey to another World Finals bid ten months later. I am pain-free and an inch taller.

The care these doctors and staff give to all patients goes above and beyond. These surgeries are life-altering and have allowed me to continue pursuing my goals. I have learned I never want to enter a hospital environment without Jeanette, his nurse practitioner. I would not trust it any other way!

With two new knees replaced by Dr. Firestone, caddie Jim "Bones" Mackay is back to carrying Phil Mickelson's bag again.
