That purr at the end though! Thomas loves to sauna! He’s my spa cat. Especially in the cooler seasons. He understands the value of self-care. Sauna is amazing for lymphatic, moving fluids, detoxing, keeping drainage, pathways open, skin benefits, relaxation. It’s a great place to meditate. Always remember to start slow and build to tolerance.
I like to bring a pitcher of cold water with 3 washcloths and wipe down every 15 minutes to help clear toxins that I express. Hot tip: do not put them back into the clean water.😉

Grateful for this full-circle moment.
As a child, on a dairy farm on the Canadian Border of MN, I watched my Grandma Fran care for my Grandpa Nick after kidney failure changed their lives, leading to dialysis. With the help of Mayo Clinic’s innovation, she was empowered to provide care that made all the difference.
That experience created a meaningful connection to Mayo Clinic early in my life, one that ultimately led me here. Today, I’m proud to be working at the very institution that once supported my family with such compassion and ingenuity.
