Dr. MacKechnie is a board certified otolaryngologist who graduated from and further completed her Otolaryngology/Head-and-Neck-Surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Medical Center. With years of utilizing her unique qualifications, Dr. MacKechnie treats a broad range of ear, nose, and throat conditions using both therapeutic and surgical approaches, with both children and adults, and has participated in ENT research.

Dr. MacKechnie is a wife and mother of three, and the whole family adventures to musical theatre productions any chance they get, especially when the kids are on stage themselves.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Dr. Heiland is a board-certified otolaryngologist who graduated from the University of Arizona Medical School in Tucson. He then completed his Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery residency at Stanford University Medical Center. With decades of experience, all manner of ear, nose, and throat issues are well within his expertise, including both pediatric and adult care. Dr. Heiland is a member of the Da Vinci Robotic Society, advocating for and performing the most advanced robotic-assisted ENT surgeries, as well as participating in ENT research.

After hours, Dr. Heiland can be found fixing up old cars, and can never get enough time with his children and new grandchildren.

Up in Flagstaff, Anthony attended Northern Arizona University for his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. As a child, Anthony witnessed his father suffer for years from a severe vertigo disorder and developed a deep appreciation for Vestibular Rehabilitation in order to treat patients with dizziness, imbalance, and vertigo.

Anthony is an ambassador for VeDA, the Vestibular Disorders Association, and a member of the APTA, the American Physical Therapy Association. Anthony has a personal YouTube Channel, Dizzy Therapy, to explain vestibular disorders and vestibular rehab to a general audience, as well as having research published discussing the prevention of BPPV. Anthony also teaches continuing education courses to other providers on the concepts of vestibular rehab.

After leaving the clinic, Anthony trains hard in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, and loves to throw some slick yoyo tricks.

Monica has been with Scottsdale Ear, Nose, and Throat since the summer of 2020. After working her way up from a front desk receptionist to a medical assistant, she now holds the title of Clinic Manager.

She completed her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University in 2021 and has since obtained her certification in medical coding. Monica’s unique skillset and experience assists patients with their questions regarding treatment plans, upcoming surgeries, insurance billing, and much more.

On the weekends, Monica loves to attend music festivals (with proper hearing protection, of course).

Haley hails from Alaska and made her way to Arizona to obtain her Doctorate in Audiology in 2025 from A.T. Still University. Haley specializes in testing vestibular disorders, which can cause dizziness, imbalance, and vertigo, but loves to challenge her own balance on a paddleboard. Haley is a member of VeDA, the Vestibular Disorders Association, as well as ASHA, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Haley is here to help patients with their hearing as well, testing levels of hearing loss and programming hearing aids with the most advanced technology available, and diagnosing many ear diseases and dysfunctions that can affect quality of life.

Born with hearing loss of her own, Emily began to wear hearing aids at a young age and pursued a Doctorate of Audiology at Ohio University. Emily is thrilled to assist patients in understanding their ear-related diagnoses and is well-versed in advanced hearing aid technologies, both clinically and personally.

Emily also specializes in balance and vestibular testing, having been challenged with her dizzy disorder, and having further personal familiarity with the patients that she cares for. Emily is a member of VeDA, the Vestibular Disorders Association, as well as ASHA, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

After the workday ends, Emily enjoys learning new recipes. When the weekend arrives, she hits the mountains of Arizona, learning the landscape, as she originates from Ohio.

With over a decade of specialization, Natacia oversees our vestibular testing department, evaluating and diagnosing patients suffering from dizziness, imbalance, and vertigo.

Natacia is proficient with hearing aid technologies as well, able to analyze hearing loss and discuss ideal options for patients with all manner of ear disease and dysfunction. Natacia is a member of VeDA, the Vestibular Disorders Association, as well as ASHA, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Hearing tests, or audiometry, as well as tympanic membrane tests, otoscope visualization, electrocochleography, and so many more tests are needed to find out the underlying CAUSE of hearing loss and any potential diagnoses involved! You don't want to leave those things undiscovered at a big chain with technicians who don't get their doctorate in this realm!
