Be honest…

If someone handed you a mic right now and said,
“You’re up. Teach something.”

What are you talking about?

AzIAPT has always been committed to training that counts, literally.

From the beginning, our continuing education offerings have been approved through NASW-Arizona, meaning mental health professionals in our community could earn renewal hours while deepening their clinical skills. Now, we’ve expanded that reach.

AzIAPT is officially an ASWB Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Provider.

That means what we’ve built here in Arizona is now recognized on a national level, alongside our existing approval through the Association for Play Therapy for play therapy-specific trainings.

Same high-quality, culturally grounded training. Broader access. More clinicians served.

Workshop Wednesday-Question: When was the last time you received training on intimate partner violence?
For most therapists, the answer is never, or a single lecture in grad school.
Meanwhile, your clients are navigating it in real time, often without naming it directly.
On March 11, we're changing that. Join us for a practical, nonjudgmental training on recognizing IPV risk factors, understanding grooming patterns, and learning how to open the conversation with confidence.

Improving your practice effectively and efficiently.

At the Arizona Institute for Advanced Psychotherapy Training, we know that many therapists feel that their graduate school training was inadequate to prepare them for the many challenges of clinical practice. We also realize that most of the offerings for training post-graduation are sorely lacking in helping to create new skills and to effectively hone emerging ones. We strive to consistently have a vibrant training calendar that not only offers interesting training, but also training that helps to make you a better and better clinician every day.
