Dr Rochlin has mentored medical students for years and this is why…..
Hi Dr. Rochlin! I want to thank you again for today! I had so much fun and I love my hat so much! I wanted to write to you to tell you that I truly meant the things I said today. I knew I wanted to be a doctor growing up, but once I realized I wanted to become a surgeon, I was very intimidated and scared because no one in my family had reached this territory. I will never forget the lecture you gave me in your office in Gilbert. I replay it in my head when I start having anxious feelings about applying for auditions, Step 2/Level 2 prep, and residency applications. I needed that fire under my ass to be reignited and (like I said today) now I have a bonfire under my ass 😂. You are such an inspiration for me! I can’t wait to be a surgeon like you, a woman like you, and a role model like you. I can’t wait to take on students and (hopefully) inspire them the way you inspired me. Thank you again for inviting me to your home and for embracing me like family. You have been the best preceptor I’ve had and I really hope I have you for a rotation next year. Hopefully, I can make you proud! 🤍
