Some cases truly require thinking outside the box.

This patient experienced maxillary trauma more than 25 years ago, resulting in implants placed significantly palatal. While the original prosthesis served him well for many years, it was time for a replacement.

To achieve proper prosthetic support while maintaining cleansability, we designed a labial cantilevered bar incorporating Locator attachments and offset Hader clips. We then milled a titanium superstructure to precisely and intimately fit over the bar.

Very pleased with the final outcome and even more so to help improve this patient’s quality of life.

This unique case was done to accommodate the large span between the zygoma, pterygoid and trans nasal implants . The customized bar design allows for maximum strength, top tier esthetics and a sleek design beneficial for speech.
