Most of my side-by-sides are before-and-afters from the OR. This one? A little less surgical, but just as dramatic. 73° in the Hamptons vs. 111° in Scottsdale — both happening right now!!!

Soaking up the breeze and time with my wonderful daughters before it’s back to school, back to work, and back to the desert.

Excited to return to what I love most — surgery.

I am proud to announce the launch of my fourth company, Aesthetic Anesthesia Associates. At every point in my career when an obstacle has presented itself, I have challenged myself to find the silver lining. There have been two other similar landmark events in my career.

In 1996, I joined an established plastic surgery practice in Phoenix. Nine months later, I was informed they were “moving in a different direction,” and I had the opportunity to open my own practice, Patti Flint MD PC. Twenty-eight years later, my practice continues to serve my patients.

In 2015, after working in a hospital surgicenter for nineteen years, I was informed by hospital administrators that they no longer desired to have aesthetic surgery performed there. I bought a medical building and built Scottsdale McCormick Ranch Surgicenter, which opened in 2017. SMRS now serves as home to fifteen plastic surgeons and their patients.

In 2025, I was notified that the corporate entity I have used to supply anesthesia care to my patients no longer had enough manpower to cover their hospital obligations and would be leaving outpatient centers. I hired board-certified anesthesiologists and am launching Aesthetic Anesthesia Associates on August 4th.

I am fond of saying, “Every wall has a door.” I am so grateful to have had these opportunities… even when they were a little scary at the outset!

Thanks to all of you who have provided support and cheered me on. I can now ensure stellar care to all of my patients in every part of their surgical experiences.

Beauty is balance—and it starts with the markings. I draw every line on the patient’s face with purpose. I mark while the patient is seated so I can see how gravity shapes their face in real life. It’s the first move in a strategic plan—and the start of a great day in the OR.
