💡 What is congenital symmastia?
Congenital symmastia is a rare condition where there is a lack of normal separation between the breasts at the midline of the chest. Instead of a defined cleavage space, breast tissue (and sometimes skin) crosses over the sternum, creating a “webbed” appearance between the breasts. It is something a patient is born with and it can significantly affect both aesthetics and confidence.
