Why are Americans so apathetic about what is transpiring?
We have the exact blueprint that the N***s used to take power in a thriving democracy. That blueprint is being used now in the US, and it’s working amazingly well. The N***s caused the death of 50 million people.
In a short period of time, Trump has taken control of the political system, the Supreme court, many federal courts, and the press. The military is being decimated of thoughtful officers and replaced by loyalists. The military men and women we need desperately at this hour, are resigning in protest. All of this was accomplished much faster than Hi**er was able to.
Some thoughts:
Education.* Americans are much less educated than previous generations. In 1970 the United States was first and high school and college graduation. The last I checked, we were 29th and 31st.
Fake Christians. You cannot be a Christian and vote for and condone taking food from starving hungry people to give tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy. You cannot p**s on poor people. You are in a place of worship and you think that hatred can’t be spread? Think again. And some of you think you’re moral, better than other people. How does that diploma from Trump university look on your wall? I’d like to say shame on you, but I’d rather say if there is a hell you are going to it. If you’re going to a church or religious institution, that is preaching hate and encouraging you to vote for Republicans, that is most definitely preaching hate - LEAVE. If you vote Republican it is YOU taking the food out of that starving child’s mouth. You.
He comes in sheep‘s clothing. There are plenty of sheep. Don’t be one. Find an alternative in line with your values. Have the courage to leave your social circle. You’ll be happier, you’ll be more comfortable, and you will save your eternal soul.
The decimation/elimination of the middle class. Offshoring manufacturing plants and jobs wasn’t such a good idea after all. (allowing the top corporations in America to pay zero in taxes when they should be paying billions does not help anything, and many of these corporations are receiving substantial funds and benefits from the government). Pure greed. What verse is that in the Bible? You can thank the Republicans and a very small number of Democrats.
How many homeless people did you see before Ronald Reagan was president? The social safety net is in tatters, and is about to be shredded. Resulting in entire new generations of poverty. (how the wealthy don’t understand that this ultimately ends in revolution is bewildering. I guess trust fund babies don’t study. You can like a man, and strongly, dislike his policies, especially upon historical reflection.
Homeless people don’t vote, and people working three minimum wage jobs to survive - of course they are not giving time off work to vote, that’s a distant memory, do not vote.
The Media. Fox News. Years of hate TV and hate radio has inspired. Hatredand everything related to it. It has come roaring back. People and companies say and do things they wouldn’t dream of 30 years ago. Government regulation of truth in news? Government regulation of anything, helpful to the wealthy, is going to disappear. “Friends don’t let friends watch Fox News“
The hatred is so severe that, it doesn’t matter if you lose your farm, it doesn’t matter if they deport your cattle to Argentina, it doesn’t matter if the price of gas and groceries triples or quadruples, or that you are hungry, your children are hungry, you are going to vote for hatred, no matter what. That’s what you’re up against. Apathy is complicitness. It’s not an option.
The concept of the loss of democracy, the loss of world standing, treason, eminent war and famine, is as distant to them as we are from Pluto.
The Republican Party. It has gone from being a legitimate political party to fear and hate mongers, dismantling America as we know it a piece by piece. Today’s Republicans have no moral compass whatsoever. They are cowards. They fear not being reelected, losing power. Are you a coward?
Democracy. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone. Voting Republican is spitting on the grave of every soldier killed or wounded in the defensive of liberty.
China? Quit complaining about China. As part of the deal to enter the Chinese market blaze, United States corporations, had to hand over their technology, and the many cases part ownership of the corporation. With the government’s blessing. Look it up. Because they own the government. Corporations ARE NOT people. They’ve got you outflanked. You have lost. Thanks to the Republicans.
Hatred is more powerful than love. It’s certainly much easier to spread. Love is an individual phenomenon. Hate is a group activity.
Speak up. Encourage thoughtful people. When a Trumpy spouts offsay “I don’t agree with that at all” but don’t argue with them. As Mark Twain said “don’t argue with an idiot, other people may not know the difference“
Vote. No matter what. Encourage your friends, groups, associations, etc. to vote. The right wing nut jobs vote in the rain, sleet and snow.
Republican friends and acquaintances? They don’t share YOUR value system. They have lost the ability to listen and think. They are comfortable. That is temporary. Many are stuck in the past thinking this is their parent’s Republican Party. Focus on moderates and centrists.
The hour may already be too late. If you’re going to do something, YOU better do it FAST.
*This leads to all sorts of maladies, such as binging on reality TV, like the apprentice, and watching Fox News propaganda and believing it, without the ability to discern truth from lies. Generating irrational hatred.
