If you’re wondering about eyelid surgery, here are some FAQs we get all the time⬇️
Whether you’re just starting to explore the idea or already planning a consultation, we hope this helps!🙌
1) Is Eyelid Surgery painful?
Not during the procedure! You'll be under local or general anesthesia and completely comfortable. Afterward, you might feel some mild discomfort, swelling, or bruising—but it’s usually manageable with medication and cold compresses.
2) How many appointments will I need?
Most patients come back 10–14 days post-surgery to remove stitches and check healing. Depending on your case, Dr. Heringer may schedule a few more visits, but he’ll always keep you informed.
3) How long until I see results?
You’ll notice a difference right away, but full results take a few weeks to settle in. Most swelling resolves in the first month, and final results show in about 3–6 months.
4) What will the scarring look like?
Scars are minimal and very discreet. For upper lids, incisions are hidden in the crease. For lower lids, they’re placed inside the eyelid or just below the lash line. With good care, most scars fade to nearly invisible lines.
5) Can I combine Eyelid Surgery with other procedures?
Yes! Many patients pair eyelid surgery with a facelift, brow lift, BOTOX, or fillers. We’ll talk through the best options for your goals at your consult.
