And to top it off, our students finished another fantastic week at clinical! Huge thank you to all our clinical instructors and preceptors for guiding them, challenging them, and cheering them on every step of the way! 💚💛

🩺💛 Marywood RT Students Experience a Poverty Simulation 💚🩺

Today, our respiratory therapy students participated in a poverty simulation — a powerful, eye-opening experience that highlights the challenges many patients face outside the hospital walls.

Understanding poverty helps future healthcare professionals develop empathy, compassion, and awareness of the barriers that can impact a person’s ability to access care, manage chronic illness, or follow treatment plans.

By stepping into the shoes of those in difficult financial situations, our students are learning that great care goes beyond clinical skills — it starts with understanding the whole person. 🌍💭
