Scranton Primary Health Care Center is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Our Center opened its doors in 1978 and has grown over the past 40 years to provide services in internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, a prenatal clinic and social services including an outreach to the area's homeless population along with a dental clinic.
Services are provided at our main office at 959 Wyoming Avenue, Scranton and at our satellite office, Family Medicine Clinic at 425 Alder Street, Scranton.
Our Center's service area includes the City of Scranton, Dunmore Borough, Blakely, Carbondale, Jermyn, Archbald, Mayfield, Old Forge, Moosic, Taylor, Dickson City, Jessup, Olyphant and Throop.
As a FQHC, we offer a sliding fee scale with discounts based on patient family size and income, in accordance with federal poverty guidelines. We accept most major public & private insurances including, but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP and PA Managed Care Organizations.
In accord with our vision, which is to provide quality medical and dental services with care and compassion to the under served and to do this under the direction of the governing Board and at a reasonable cost to the community, Scranton Primary Health Care Center will continue to respond to the evolving trends and needs of our target population and service area.
