Hello everyone! On the final day of my teacher takeover ! This week has brought back so many memories! And gratitude for my journey so far. It all comes back to the practice of yoga Its teachings , philosophy and the many people it has given me the privilege to work with ! As we wrap things up I will selfishly promote a program that I have developed by taking all that I’ve learned, have experienced and truly believe in with all my heart ❤️ Somatic Reset Method This program is an evidenced based healing method to return us to a state of calm. To remember what that feels like, and to remember that we have the capacity to bring ourselves to the state of calm by regulating our central nervous system in a fun, soothing, gentle way ! I hope you have signed up for the 6 week series ! If not I will be holding lots of workshops and possibly a teacher training in the future ! And who knows ?? Maybe a retreat ?? Who wants a retreat ? 👏Ive thrown in some pictures of me in poses that shows what the body is capable of when we get out of our own way I can’t do those poses anymore lol but isn’t that the true meaning of yoga? To be ok with that and keep practicing anyway. I love you all 🙏🤍💫

Hello ! It’s day #4 of the teacher takeover. As we wind the week down I’ll show you what I do for my grown up job ! When I closed Prana in 2017 I began my career in the drug and alcohol field. This is not something I would have pursued normally, but I needed a job. Desire and opportunity met and here we are years later. I currently work as a counselor and trauma informed yoga instructor at Endless Mountain Extended Care in Factoryville. We are a 40 bed all men’s inpatient facility. As you can imagine there is never a dull moment! We save lives every day so it’s stressful but so rewarding! Because of my yoga background my counseling method is mainly holistic, client centered and strength based. Every Friday I teach a yoga class and let the men know that I would not be sober for 20 years had I not found yoga !I love the people I work with they are not just colleagues they are my family ! I’ve included some pictures of the facility, my office , some of the guys doing yoga, guys at a bonfire alumni meeting, the owner of the facility Dr. Arianne Scheller-Smith and our Clincal Director Ashley Bunnell and finally me and my coworkers on Halloween! Enjoy the glimpse into the world I spend the most time in ! See you tomorrow!

Hi everyone it’s day 3 ! Yoga has brought me the most powerful and life changing gifts through the years. I wanted to know and learn everything, I still do ! I told you yesterday that my very first training was a Yoga Fit weekend training. While opening Prana i did my 200 hr training at Poweryoga works in Philadelphia. It was a Baptiste power yoga training. I received my 500 hr training following. Throughout the years I have been so incredibly fortunate to train with the pioneers of vinyasa yoga on this continent. They were celebrities with followings of rock stars. My mentor and a woman I will always consider a friend is Seane Corn. I trained with her and took countless workshops with her. She radically shaped me into the person and teacher I am today. I have also trained with Brian Kest, Santa Monica power yoga Alli Hamilton Yogis Anonymous , Sadie Nardini Fierce Club , Govin Das , Bhakti yoga Shala and my other life changing training , Sianna Sherman , Exhale Venice Beach. It was during this training that I made the decision to move to LA ! You know how I roll …so I did 😂 I lived in West Hollywood for 2 years living the life I dreamed of , practicing yoga where it all began ! During this time I worked in a bougie drug and alcohol rehab right on the walk of fame in Hollywood ! ⭐️I met LOTS of interesting people there! It inspired me for change though, I had been in the yoga world for a long time. So I decided that I wanted to be a drug and alcohol counselor… so that’s what I did ! Looking back at these photos has brought back so many amazing memories! I hope you enjoy them and get an idea of the world I had the privilege of living in 🙏🤍💫

Good morning everyone welcome to my teacher takeover day two! Like I said in yesterday‘s post, not only did I enjoy yoga, but it literally saved my life. In very early sobriety. I decided to take a weekend yoga teacher training called Yoga Fit to be able to teach in a gym. I began teaching yoga classes at Uno fitness in 2007. This is when and where I met Kelly! Kelly and I are sisters really , we are much more than friends because we have shared quite the incredible journey together! It didn’t take long before the gym atmosphere wasn’t enough … I had an idea to open a yoga studio! Because I am extremely impulsive I immediately opened a yoga studio 😂with $1000 and a dream. I opened Prana yoga in November of 2008. It was a donation based studio suggested donation was $10. By the grace of God. And Kelly O’Brien , Bedford now , the studio was an immediate success! I knew absolutely nothing about technology or business and Kelly just took over and did it all. I couldn’t have done it without her and all of my amazing instructors ! You know who you are ! Prana was a very special yoga studio it had an energy that can’t be explained, you had to just be there. Besides my son it is my greatest accomplishment! I closed Prana in 20017 and that’s when I started teaching at Mission. I’ve included some pictures of Kelly and I back in the day, a Kirtan with David Newman who unfortunately has passed , and my original and then re done more modern logo ! I hope you enjoy. More on my journey tomorrow! 🤍

Hello everyone! I’m so happy to share my journey with you ! Alit of you have known me for a very long time, some of you don’t know me at all. I also work as a drug and alcohol counselor so because of the high demands of that and life , I stopped teaching for a time. But I’m back ! I’ll start today by sharing what I believe to be the start of my journey to yoga. I am the epitome of an 80’s Jersey girl. I was raised in Maplewood, NJ then later moved with my parents to The Hideout in Lake Ariel I was in tenth grade ! You can imagine the culture shock ! But I actually loved it. I am truly blessed to have grown up in that era and environment. I’ve included photos from high school, my home , my baby son Stephen and then Stephen with me as a grown man ! How time flies ! I have also included a picture of me the day I went to Rehab , Marworth in 2005 a hot mess and very addicted to alcohol and Xanax. Following is me sober after finding yoga. I say with 100%certainty that yoga saved my life. It is my life. It is everything Like the air I breathe! Tomorrow I’ll take you through my yoga journey! I’m excited ! I hope you are too! Also …. I love pugs! I’ve had them always. One picture is of Cedric and Lola. Unfortunately Cedric passed a few years ago but Lola is still going strong ! She turned 17 in March !
