Many of us are dealing with confusion, stress, illness, life’s normal transitions, or the challenge of reinventing ourselves. This eclectic method of accessing the unconscious through writing is healing. As defined here, healing means coming to acceptance of what ‘is’ accompanied by a sense of calm knowingness. The writing process in this course gently leads the student from conflict to clarity. Emotional and mental blocks dissolve as creative energy is released. The group is guided through exercises designed to open the creative realm of the mind, which will release and lift burdens. In a nurturing and supportive environment, effective tools are provided that motivate and inspire the writer to continue a lifelong practice of:
Unlocking memories which may or may not benefit our growth
Rewriting parts of our stories with compassion for self and others
Identifying certain patterns to recognize how they may presently be holding pain
Creating our ideal lives and expressing our most creative selves
This course is analogous to yoga through the pen, and can be taught with corresponding physical exercises to maximize healing and help maintain inner peace. Novices and professionals both benefit. Lynda Aron, author of YOUR WRITE TO HEAL, is an intuitive and experienced workshop leader.
