*** OUR HISTORY ***
The legacy of T. L. Faison’s Funeral Care, LLC, originally established as Faison Funeral Home in 1960, is rooted in a steadfast commitment to compassionate service and community uplift. For more than six decades, the Faison name has been synonymous with dignity, integrity, and unwavering support to families throughout North Carolina and Virginia during their most difficult hours.
The firm was founded by the late John W. “Jack” Faison, a devoted community activist whose distinguished career in funeral service began with Jarvis Funeral Home in Washington, DC. Affectionately known as “Jack,” he was far more than a funeral director — he was a visionary leader who played a pivotal role in the social, economic, and political advancement of Northampton County. His dedication to service extended beyond the chapel and into the very heart of the community he loved.
In 1983, Bobie N. Moss began working under the mentorship and guidance of Mr. Faison. After Jack’s passing, Mr. Moss assumed ownership of the establishment and faithfully carried the torch of excellence until his own passing on December 17, 2015. Under Bobie’s administration, Faison’s Funeral Service, Inc. continued to evolve alongside the changing landscape of the funeral industry and the growing, diverse needs of families. His legacy was marked by compassion, innovation, and an enduring commitment to honoring every life with dignity. That spirit of care continues to resonate within the organization today.
In February 1999, a young high school student named Tamir L. Faison began working at the funeral home with a sincere desire to be a blessing to families during their most vulnerable moments. What began as a calling soon became a profession. Tamir pursued his licensure as a Funeral Director and Embalmer and worked faithfully alongside Mr. Moss in service to the community. Following Bobie’s untimely passing, Tamir assumed the role of Manager and soon thereafter became Chief Executive Officer, continuing the proud heritage established decades earlier.
Grounded in the same principles that guided both Jack and Bobie, Tamir remains committed to ensuring that the now, T. L. Faison’s Funeral Care, LLC stands as a pillar within the community — a place where families find comfort, excellence, and devoted care.
Today, our dedicated team of licensed funeral service professionals, office personnel, and service assistants remains available 24 hours a day. We are honored to serve each family with professionalism, compassion, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every service is meaningful, personal, and reflective of a life well lived.
At T. L. Faison’s Funeral Care, LLC, we remain steadfast in our commitment to exceed standards of excellence — continuing a legacy of service that began in 1960 and lives on with dignity and devotion.
