We can hardly ask you to book a Moxi for you and bae without giving you the “what to expect” in plain English, right? Right!
Moxi is a non-ablative resurfacing laser.
Yes, you’re going to be red.
Yes, you’re going to feel warm.
It’s totally expected AND temporary!! 🙌🏼
That warmth can last a few hours, sometimes even into the next day. Redness is going to vary by the settings we used and your skin type. It can hang around for a few days, but this is also something we totally expect.
Two to three days after your Moxi laser treatment, you’ll start to notice tiny dark specks and a rough, almost sandpaper texture. These are MENDS, which are treated pigmented cells and debris working their way out of the skin. MENDS are also a completely normal phase of healing from Moxi.
Our tips for the best Moxi aftercare:
- Keep your skin clean and well moisturized
- Avoid any excessive heat and exposure
- Use mineral SPF
- Do NOT pick or scrub!
If you’re ever unsure of whether or not your healing looks normal, that’s exactly what we’re here for.
Ask. Send photos. We’d rather talk you through it than have you guessing 🖤
