🩺 National Physical Therapy Month: Meet Kristen Morse, PTA! 💪

💬 What’s your favorite exercise or machine?
For patients, I love using the Total Gym — it’s great for working the lower body without full weight-bearing, which helps reduce joint stress. Personally, I’m a treadmill girl — I love to run! 🏃‍♀️

💬 What’s your favorite part of helping patients?
Watching patients improve, even in small ways like walking a few extra steps or having less pain doing everyday things — those moments are powerful. It's an honor to celebrate those wins with them. 🙌

💬 Go-to post-workout snack?
I keep it simple with a protein bar or a salad. It’s light but effective — helps me recover and keeps me energized for my patients. 🥗

💬 Why did you become a Physical Therapist Assistant?
I wanted to make a real difference. Helping someone walk again, live with less pain, or get back to doing what they love — that’s why I’m here. It’s a rewarding blend of science, movement, and compassion. ❤️

💬 One thing more people should know about PT?
PT isn’t just for injuries! It’s also for prevention, strength-building, mobility, and helping you live better long-term. It’s proactive care. 🧠🏋️‍♂️

💬 Advice to new PT patients?
Be patient with the process — every step forward counts. Healing takes time, but those small wins? They turn into big changes. Keep showing up and trust your team. ✨

🩺 National Physical Therapy Month: Featuring Jennifer Brandes, MPT & Owner of Sealy Therapy and Wellness 💪🏼

🏋️‍♀️ Favorite Machine:
“The functional rowing machine is my go-to. It strengthens the upper and lower body without heavy impact—helping improve posture, walking, stair climbing, and more. Plus, the repetitive rhythm promotes coordination, relaxation, and stress relief!”

❤️ Favorite Part of Helping Patients:
“My favorite moment is when a patient realizes they can do something they thought they’d lost forever—like walking pain-free or regaining confidence in their body. Helping people move better means helping them live better. Motion is lotion!”

🍎 Favorite Post-Workout Snack:
“I try to live what I teach! My go-to snack is blueberries and yogurt, or apple slices, paired with a Fairlife Core Power protein drink (thanks to my daughters for that!).”

🩻 Why I Became a PT:
“I became a PT to help people get their lives back—moving pain-free, gaining confidence, and returning to what they love. There’s nothing better than seeing someone take their first steps toward independence.”

✨ One Thing I Wish More People Knew:
“PT isn’t just for recovery—it’s for rediscovering your body’s potential. It’s not only about injury—it’s about prevention, movement, and living without limits.”

✅ Advice for New PT Patients:
“Be patient, ask questions, and focus on form and consistency. A positive mindset, good communication, and commitment will take you far. Expect soreness, not pain—and trust us to help you rebuild strength, mobility, and function!”

👏 Join us this October as we celebrate Jennifer and all our amazing PT professionals making a difference every day!

🩺 National Physical Therapy Month: Featuring Charlette Mulhollen, PT 💙

💬 What’s your favorite exercise or machine?
“I often use the parallel bars with my patients, especially when working on balance. It encourages them to use their various balance systems while being in a secure environment.”

💬 What’s your favorite part of helping patients?
“My favorite part is seeing their progress and hearing how their quality of life has improved. I’ve cheered on my athletes at cross country meets and attended local events to support my patients doing what they enjoy. Whether it’s watching someone confidently climb stairs or return to a sport they love—seeing it all come together is the cherry on top.”

💬 Favorite post-workout snack?
“I love smoothies! 🥤 They’re refreshing and sweet. I usually add peanut butter or protein powder for extra protein, and collagen for joint health. Sometimes I switch it up with an açaí bowl topped with fruit, coconut, or granola.”

💬 Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
“I enjoy being active and improving the quality of life of others. I get to exercise with my patients and celebrate their progress. Hearing them say they can play with grandkids again, return to walking, or compete in their college sport—it always brightens my day.”

💬 What’s one thing you wish more people knew about PT?
“The importance of addressing symptoms early. Many patients say ‘it’s not that bad’ at first, but early treatment allows for more conservative approaches and better outcomes. PT is for everyone—at any stage!”

💬 Advice for someone starting PT?
“Have fun and soak up all the info! Being active can improve your quality of life and prevent future issues. I always encourage my patients to keep using our wellness center after therapy to stay strong and live life to the fullest 💪🏼”

National Physical Therapy Month: Featuring Wyatt, PTA

🛠️ Favorite exercise or machine:
“Hard to say. I really don’t have a favorite. Each piece of equipment is unique, and it’s our job to creatively use it to achieve different purposes.”

🏁 Favorite part of helping patients:
Wyatt loves witnessing transformation:
“Everyone wants to get to the finish line, but the journey to get there is what you’ll talk about in the end.”

🍫 Favorite post-workout snack:
Reese’s Cups!! Heck yeah!!
(P.S. – the pumpkin ones have 5g of protein each 😄)

🌍 Why he became a PTA:
“I wanted to make a difference in the world by getting people back on their feet… and force people to hear my terrible stand-up routine. This accomplishes both.”

🧠 What he wishes more people knew about PT:
“Even though what we do is tough and sometimes painful, the majority of the time you will feel better than when you walked in.”

💬 Advice to new PT patients:
“Just do your best — we are here to meet you where you are, not the other way around.”

🎮 Fun fact about Wyatt:
Last October, Wyatt customized a video game controller for a child with missing digits. The result? That child could finally beat his brother in a game — and Wyatt found a new calling. His story made the front page of the Brenham Banner Press and led to opportunities working with special needs students in Sealy and Bellville.
“I have no idea what God has in store for me next, and I’ve learned that I don’t need to. I’m just excited He’s taking me along on this ride.”

🩺 Join us in celebrating Wyatt and our whole PT crew this October!

🎉 Welcome Back, Roy Dierschke! 🎉

After 15 months of discovery, determination, and healing, we are thrilled to welcome Roy Dierschke back to Sealy Therapy and Wellness!

Following a long journey to find answers and begin successful treatment for CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) — a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the protective lining of the peripheral nerves — Roy is walking back into therapy and rebuilding his strength and stamina toward a full and active recovery. 💪

A heartfelt thank you to the outstanding team at First Texas Home Health Services for providing exceptional physical, occupational, and nursing care throughout Roy’s recovery.

We also extend special appreciation to Shannon Roberts, OTR, and Stephanie Burttschell, MPT, for their compassion, expertise, and dedication in helping Roy regain his mobility, confidence, and independence. 🙌

Today is more than just a therapy session — it’s a celebration of progress, perseverance, and partnership. We are so grateful for our incredible team at Sealy Therapy and Wellness and for the opportunity to help families grow stronger every day. ❤️
