Harding University’s recent article, “Unbeaten Harding Stays at No. 2, Leads Nation in Rushing and Scoring Defense,” honored our founder, Adrian Hickmon, Ph.D. , as one of Harding’s all-time greats and Hall of Famers.

Before founding Capstone Treatment Center, Adrian led with discipline and heart on the field, qualities he carried into his years of coaching. His coaching platform led to father-son camps focused not on football, but on connection, helping families share struggles and learn tools to help young men lead better lives.

The struggles his players and students were facing planted a desire for further education. Adrian pursued a master’s in substance abuse counseling at Northeast Louisiana University, setting the stage for a new chapter that would ultimately become Capstone Treatment Center.
