Salsa Con Todo is hosting LAC Teacher Training 2026 this weekend, March 28 and 29, and Dr. Stephanie Irwin will be there as a guest presenter teaching Anatomy and Kinesiology.

"LAC Teacher Training is an immersive weekend for Dance and Movement leaders ready for something real. We blend self-exploration with applied science, musicality with hands-on creativity, and a communication style that's inclusive, powerful, and genuinely fun. Whatever your modality, if you lead people through movement, this program is for you."
stephanielynne founder of leads two sessions that dive into understanding the biomechanics of the dancer's body, learning movement analysis through an expert lense, connecting to muscular control in frame, head and body movement, and advanced cuing behind high-level partner dancing instruction.

Spring in Seattle means more daylight, more trails, and unfortunately, more running injuries.

Every year we see common patterns. People ramp back up too fast, ignore early warning signs, or keep doing the same things that took them off the trails last year hoping for a different result.

Nothing helps me reset and feel more grounded than a heavy session in the gym.

Itโ€™s not just a feeling โ€” itโ€™s science. Resistance training has been shown to reduce cortisol, improve mood, sharpen focus, and build the kind of functional strength that carries over into every part of life. For me, lifting isnโ€™t just programming. Itโ€™s where I find my mental clarity at the end of a hard day, the physical challenge that keeps me sharp, allows me to provide excellent care to my clients, and the community that makes me want to show up even when I donโ€™t feel like it.

As a physical therapist who works with lifters and CrossFit athletes every week at RISE, I see firsthand what happens when people push hard without the right foundation. I also see whatโ€™s possible when they do have it.

The Lifting Foundations Series continues - is partnering with to amplify your lifting game. After learning proper form and warm-up techniques, it's time to dive deeper into what powers safe, effective lifting: your core and pelvic floor.

Learn from the Doctors of Physical Therapy who lift! From beginner to seasoned lifter, you will learn how to lift safely, dial in form, understand how to use your core to avoid injury, and how to take care of your body in recovery.

Part 2: The Core & Pelvic Floor for Lifters - Friday, March 20th | 6:30-7:20pm

Dr. Stephanie will guide you in how to better activate your core and pelvic floor to lift heavier and avoid injury.
