I am late to the party reading The Midnight Library -- as it was published in 2020 - but if you have not read this book I highly encourage you to pick it up and give it a read.

And then I wonder what would make up your own Midnight Libray -- a thick Book of Regrets like the main character or adventures not yet lived OR both.

Fascinating concept!

The Midnight Library is a fascinating fiction book. Imagine dying, but actually not, and being able to walk the paths you have not taken.

Happy New Year! Perhaps it's not at all about making resolutions but rather creating a bridge between what has been and what has not yet come to be.

Cheers to 2022!

Happy New Year. It's 2022. How did you end the last year and what are your intentions for the new? How about a bridge between the two?

In this day and age, where vaccination mandates are key to overcoming the pandemic, the mental schema that says, "Don't tell me what to do" within individuals is hurting society -- and it's a life and death thought these days.

A vaccination shot that saves your life and those of others in one's community -- feels like a no brainer -- yet it's not about brains at all.

I have been "passing" my whole life -- and unlike the character in the movie Passing -- it was never a choice, but dictated by the color of my skin.

Passing allows one to hold power, but also offers a sharp, poignant pain when it is not of one's choosing.

Passing is complicated. This movie is worth a watch.

Passing movie is about two African-American women, one whom passes as white in society. Often, to pass is to hold power and privilege.

I have been on a News Diet for about two months now -- I think it's going to be a lifestyle for me moving forward.

Have you ever gone on a news diet?

We know what a diet regarding food is about, but how about one for the news? Recognizing I was reading too much news, I went on a diet. Yes!

I was always told I was "selfish" for not having children -- now I hear people asking is it "selfish" to have a child?

I don't think there is a correlation between wanting or not wanting a child and selfishness -- here's why:

Is it selfish to want a baby in this era of climate change? Often one was called selfish when they didn't want children, what's happened?

Almost a week into Autumn! How are you with the change of seasons this year?

The first day of fall arrived last week. As Autumn sets in, often people note a change in mood as the days become colder and darker.

Remember playing Peekaboo as a little one? Perhaps you play it with your own children.

Here's a thought on how this little game plays out throughout our lives:

Remember playing peekaboo as a small child with important adults in your life? Guess what? We are still playing that game as adults.

Back from Break - and not just holiday, but hopefully from my extended writing break.

Taking it one day at a time - hope you are too:

I took a break, a full two week break and it allowed me to return to myself. How often breaks are critical to good mental health.

My 2 cents on the wave of pop up mental health clinics coming to your local pharmacy:

Pop Up mental health clinics are a new wave in what's hot in mental health care. Walk into your local pharmacy and see a therapist. What?
