One Connection Healthcare offers a wide range of services from neonatal, pediatric and adult primary care to more chronic illness and condition support. We infuse humanity and connection into our care not just for our patients, but also for one another within our team. As the founder of OCH I believe a business can only be as healthy and successful as the work environment and culture and I have poured my heart into supporting the amazing team of clinicians and staff that we have been so fortunate to gather so that patients can experience our best clear and compassionate support. As a patient you’ll feel it from your experience all the way from our administrative staff to your provider appointment. We want you to have a human connection to our team. We don’t care just because it’s our job, we care because it also brings us joy and connection to support humans and this is why we are in this work.

A brief window into how things have evolved since starting . So much gratitude for the team of people to get me here, including all the many patients who have trusted me in their care. Starting and growing a business is not just the ‘work’ to make it happen. It’s a mental health endurance marathon with the many decisions that impact the business, endless opportunities to pivot or to take risks or maintain. Ever since starting my own business I can’t stop thinking about how every single business we engage with has someone behind the scenes who started it from the ground up. Someone who thought of everything all the way down to the toilet paper in the bathroom. Every system created, even if appearing simple on the outside, took thought and a system creation. Often if a system in a business isn’t even noticed then that’s the one that is the most streamlined. There is so much work that is unseen as an entrepreneur and some days there can be a major win to celebrate while others all I can celebrate is that we didn’t run out of toilet paper. More to come on what support systems help make the mental health aspects of running a business sustainable and what internal growth is needed to grow a business relationally.

Meet Kailina! Kailina is the newest addition to our team and is bringing acupuncture services to One Connection Healthcare. We are so excited to have her join us and the addition of her care for patients feels like icing on the cake to create a comprehensive approach to treatment. Dr. Lily here….today marks One Connection Healthcare’s three year anniversary and I am oozing in pride at the team and patients that I get to work with every day. I started on this day three years ago as a one woman show. I was seeing patients, answering my own phones, collecting payments and doing my own books….now three years later my amazing husband and co-owner Dr. Michael Rak work together and employ 10 incredible humans who we couldn’t be prouder to work with . It’s an incredible thing to look around an office and see every little piece of furniture, wall hanging, medical equipment that we have built and created. I have a new appreciation for all the small business owners out there. Next time you walk into a business just think about even down to the TP in the bathroom the owner had to buy or create a system so that it could be there. The last three years have been FULL and the dream I had to create an integrated team of providers offering inclusive and compassionate care has been fulfilled beyond what I could have ever imagined. We are (re)creating a healthcare space that doesn’t need to be traumatizing, where you can feel heard, and where people can heal. Not just physically, but also emotionally, unwinding the harm that has been done in other healthcare systems. This team not only works hard to communicate well with patients, but we also work with each other to uphold a team environment that feels safe for each other. I’m incredibly excited to show up alongside this incredible team, in this beautiful space, supporting some of the most resilient humans I’ve ever met. It is an honor.
