The Outcomes Registry for Cardiac Conditions in Athletes (ORCCA) website is now LIVE! 📢

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of sudden death in competitive athletes during sports and exercise. However, the natural history and risk profile of cardiac disorders among athletes is incompletely understood.

So, we introduce to you… An outcomes registry for athletes diagnosed with cardiac conditions. The collection of more complete outcomes data from the ORCCA study will improve the management of athletes diagnosed with a cardiac condition, inform safe sports participation, and delineate the downstream impact of pre-participation cardiovascular screening programs. This study will examine the shared decision-making process and monitor cardiovascular outcomes, sports and physical activity levels, mental health, and quality of life in athletes with cardiac conditions.

We are recruiting college athletes now via our website, head there for more information on how you can get involved and work together to improve the future care of athletes: ORCCAstudy.org
