UW Impact Study A study to test IMPACT - a technology system to support school-age children and their parents to manage asthma together. She is also mom to her busy twins.

About the Researcher:
Jennifer Sonney, PhD, ARNP is an Assistant Professor at the UW School of Nursing and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Since 2006, Jennifer has worked in pediatrics with a special focus on caring for children with asthma and their families. She spent 4 years running an asthma clinic, and now is focused on research to improve outcomes for kids with asthma. This project is funded by the National Institutes of Health & National Institute of Nursing Research Grant .

Monitoring asthma amidst cold/flu season and a pandemic is very challenging. All families will receive a home spirometer (to evaluate lung function) and a free asthma assessment. We offer remote study visits!
