Control of body and senses are a Pre-requisite in Spirituality The Sadhaka should fix the needs for his body. He should assert how much food and sleep he needs. He should neither love his body too much nor hate it, but should keep it in a healthy condition. As we need petrol to run a car, similarly we need food for our body. To maintain the body and to run the family well one should do some profession or work to earn money. Without earning money, it is not possible to do peaceful Sadhana. Only when we are healthy we can perform our acts well. He should do all the works as scheduled, make a routine and run accordingly. One should also fix a specific and quality time to spend with his family.
He has even to decide how much time he needs for profession/work. One should also pay attention on his daily activities from the start of the day itself. If he come across any lapses in his progress, he should try to eliminate it the very next day. He should review all his activities of the day at bedtime. Only in unavoidable circumstances, one can change his routine. Thus, when he works rigorously, he gets success in life and can utilize the remaining time for practice of Moral Discipline and Spiritual Discipline. One should keep in mind that protection of the body alone would not lead to liberation.
