This client was running zero miles because of debilitating hip pain. PT helped her out of the acute phase but she felt stuck when it came time to rebuild running.

What we focused on in Coaching:
• Full-range hip strength and control
• Low but consistent and progressive volume

2025 was my STRENGTH year.

I didn’t run any races in 2025 because of some health issues, so I got to focus on incredible strength blocks and staying consistent with running and cross-training.

My hip felt amazing.

I also got to show so many of my clients that they CAN squat, lunge, and hinge to depth to grow their glutes—withOUT hip pain—and it changed everything.

They were able to run comfortably and feel strong in the gym again.

I’ve seen women from all starting lines make real progress
from college athletes to the mom who wants to realistically run 2x/week while her kids are at therapy and she just needs a break.

It doesn’t have to be complicated
It doesn’t have to take hours of your week

But the plan has to be strategic built just for you
with PLENTY of room for stress, poor sleep, vacations, and flare-ups
Because that’s REAL life

Not all lateral hip pain is bursitis, clamshells aren’t a forever fix, and MRI findings don’t always explain where the pain’s coming from. No wonder this stuff throws people for a LOOOOP.

Finding the real root cause and following a progressive plan with your rehab or provider team is always the best way forward. But if you’re looking for some extra hip tips, comment “EASE” and I’ll send you one of my favorite resources!

To my friends, family, and anyone following me who’s dealing with hip pain… here’s what I REALLY think:

Just because I care about you doesn’t mean there’s a quick fix.

If you’re having pain with running, it means load exceeded capacity — your body is waving a flag that something isn’t adding up.

We still need to figure out why:

1️⃣ Did your running volume jump too quickly?
2️⃣ Is your foundation off — coordination, mechanics, endurance, or strength?
3️⃣ Or is everything “fine,” but life stress has been sky-high and running was simply the straw that broke the camel’s back?

Often it’s a combo.

My husband is in the top 1% of physical therapists—and even HE couldn’t help me.

That was a hard pill to swallow.

Not because he wasn’t capable…
But because it wasn’t his job to fix me. And deep down, I knew it.

Im all about answering the random texts about my friends/families aches and pains but if they want to get back to running/working out without pain there are NO shortcuts.

I still reccomend a full plan to discover their weaknesses, develop them into their strengths, and deploy back to what they love with their strongest hip yet.
