As another holiday approaches many of us are looking forward to some delicious food. Gathering with loved ones and sharing a meal is a big part of how many of us celebrate. Sometimes this can lead to over indulgence and often some self recrimination the next day. For this holiday I would like to challenge you to give yourself permission to enjoy, with no regrets. Eat your favorite foods, as much as you want, just really savor them. Each bite, or sip is wonderful, and so much more so if you slow down and pay close attention, to just how good it really is. Chances are when you do this you will notice when you are full, and be more satisfied by what you ate. Even if you eat the same amount as you did last year, your body will have an easier time digesting it, so you will sleep better, and the next day it will be easier to follow up with the second step of this challenge, no regrets. You gave yourself permission so there is no reason to be upset with yourself. Yesterday was fun, and today is a new day!
