FROZEN BOTOX CHIN?
Our girl is describing a common side effect of Botox in the 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙘𝙡𝙚 (𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘤𝘭𝘦). When we inject this area, the goal is usually to smooth out “orange peel” texture (dimpling) or to relax a strong chin that pulls upward.
However, if the product is placed a bit too high or if it migrates toward the muscles that control your mouth—specifically the depressor labii inferioris—it can affect how your lower lip moves when you talk or laugh.
𝙄𝙨 𝙄𝙩 𝙖 “𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙡”?
Not necessarily! This is often just a matter of 𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. Every face is unique, and sometimes the muscles that control our smile are more intertwined than we think.
The good news? 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲. As the Botox wears off over 3-4 months, the muscle function returns to normal. In the meantime, her friends are right—it’s a known “thing” in the world of aesthetics, and while it feels strange to the person experiencing it, she still looks ✨gorgeous!✨
